Humanitarian Lecture – The Life and Work of Momo Kapor
Organized by the Rotary Club, an evening was held dedicated to the memory of Momo Kapor, bringing together more than sixty participants and friends of the club. The guest of the evening was Ljiljana Kapor, the wife of the renowned writer and painter, whose presence gave a special tone to the event.
The program began with a film screening about Momo Kapor, in which prominent writers, actors, and artists shared anecdotes from his life, revealing lesser-known details and the warmth of his creative spirit. After the screening, the audience had the opportunity to hear Momo’s answers to numerous questions from everyday life. Through his reflections on life, history, and art, the public gained deeper insight into his views and philosophy. The evening concluded with a charity auction of Momo’s graphics and drawings. The funds raised were intended for the treatment of a child of distinguished Rotarians, giving the event additional value and significance.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all attendees, especially the Rotary Club Belgrade Skadarlija, which postponed its regular meeting in order to attend the lecture, as well as to other members of the Rotary community and friends of the club.
