The Ilić Family from Suvi Do near Gračanica Visits Our Club

From Friday to Sunday, May 9th to 11th, our Club had the honor of hosting the seven-member Ilic family from Kosovo and Metohija, from the village of Suvi Do near Gracanica. We have a long-standing tradition of supporting this wonderful family, and this time we welcomed them to Belgrade as part of another humanitarian support initiative.

Zoran and Katarina Ilic have five children: Mihajlo (9), Ilija (6), Helena (5), Lazar (3), and the youngest, Anđelija, who is a year and a half old. The family is expecting their sixth child soon, and if it is a boy, they plan to name him Novak — in gratitude to Uncle Nole, the initiator of all previous support efforts for the Ilic family, and after Novak Đokovic, our greatest and the world’s top tennis player.

Renowned humanitarian Novak Govedarica – known affectionately as Uncle Nole – was the host during their stay in Belgrade. Thanks to his initiative, a seaside holiday for the Ilic family is also being planned, and will be organized with the support of our Club.

During their two-day visit, we did our best to show the children the most beautiful and interesting parts of Belgrade. The tour began with a visit to the Red Star Stadium, followed by the Temple of Saint Sava, Belgrade Waterfront, and an unforgettable day at the Belgrade Zoo. On the second day, we visited the tomb of Emperor Dusan, the Church of Saint Mark, and strolled through Knez Mihailova Street, giving the children a chance to better experience the Serbian capital.

We extend our sincere thanks to all friends and partners who helped make this visit a success: Zoran Avramovic, Marketing Director of SD Crvena Zvezda, Red Star Football Club, Peđa from the Red Star Museum, and Mr. Dragan Tasic and the Belgrade Zoo.

We believe that every sincere act of kindness — no matter how small — carries great significance. The children repaid us with smiles, joy, and unforgettable memories, and we are enriched by yet another beautiful experience.

We look forward to seeing the Ilic family again — this time in Gracanica.
