Private and professional biography
Igor Mijatović was born in Belgrade on August 9, 1985. He graduated from the 9th Belgrade Gymnasium “Mihailo Pupin” and earned his degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Computer Science in 2008.
He began his professional career in the fields of education and information technology in 2007 at the Faculty of Computer Science, where, over the course of nearly two decades, he held various teaching, professional, organizational, and management positions. As a member of the teaching staff, he taught three courses and also served as a member of the Faculty Council, while being actively involved in the management and development of the institution.
During his time at the Faculty of Computer Science, he participated in numerous activities focused on promoting higher education and information technology. He was involved in organizing the faculty’s participation in education fairs and book fairs, as well as in organizing and promoting numerous professional conferences, seminars, competitions, and other educational activities.
He was particularly involved in organizing programming competitions and activities for young people, including the International Olympiad in Informatics and other projects in the field of computer science. He also participated in the creation and development of the “RAF IT Days” and “RAF Challenge” competitions, and was the person who came up with their names.
In addition to teaching and management, he was involved in the development of digital content, faculty promotion, and communication with pupils, students, and the wider educational community. His professional work during this period focused on connecting education, information technology, organizational development, and modern approaches to communication.
After nearly twenty years at the Faculty of Computer Science, in 2026 he took over the management of Računarska Gimnazija in Belgrade, a private secondary school specializing in the education of students with a strong interest and talent in computer science and modern technologies. In this role, he is focused on the strategic development of the school, the advancement of educational programs, digitalization, infrastructure development, and creating a modern educational environment for students.
He is married to Tanja and is the father of one child.
Rotaract biography
Igor Mijatovic became a member of the Rotaract club on 20th January 2011 and shortly thereafter became a member of the Club board. In Rotarian 2013/2014 he served as President of the Rotaract Club. Nowadays, he is an honorary member of Rotaract Club and member of Rotary Club Beograd Dedinje.
Igor participated in all important matters relating to the Rotaract club since its establishment: web site making, branding the Club, registrations in the Business Registers Agency. Igor, also, organized a number of humanitarian activities, and he is most proud of the organization of assistance after the floods in 2014, when the Rotaract club hosted friends from the Netherlands and France, as well as the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the Club. He represented our Rotaract club at the REM (Rotaract European Meeting) in Belgrade (2011), Turin (2012), Istanbul (2015) and St. Petersburg (2016).
Rotary biography
He became a member of the Belgrade Dedinje Rotary Club in 2016 after transferring from the Rotaract club and will remain in the club until October 2022. As a member of RK Beograd Dedinja, he performed various functions in the Board of Directors in the Rotary 16/17, 18/19, 19/20, and in 17/18 he performed the function of Club President. As of the 2019/2020 Rotary year, he is the holder of the Rotary Paul Harris Fellow award. Together with six other members of Dedinje, in October 2022, he launched the initiative to establish the Rotary Club of Belgrade Terazije. He was elected as the first, or Charter, President of Terazije.
